FAQ
Are you guys really two handsome angels falling towards earth to document love?
The rumors are true. Yes we are handsome angels falling toward earth to document love. We've been doing this since the beginning of time, and have recorded some very memorable events - such as Joan of Arc being burned at the stake, the bubonic plague, the de-throwning of King Edward III, Stevie Nicks famous wedding tea-party, and many other notable cast members of society by and large.
Our wedding is in the artic. Do you travel for weddings?
We do travel for weddings, and have done so all across Canada, Europe, and the USA to document events. We are not travelling to the USA currently, but would love to learn about what you're planning. Let us in and be amazed. We want to be in the arctic, tell us more :)
Do you guys shoot digital or film? Or both?
We shoot weddings on both digital and film. Our couples really love the look and feel of our film images. Digital is great, and we love our X-Pro II's & Leica Q2, but we shoot film when we want things that are unpredictable, wild, and just fun.
What is the difference between Bosco and Gaston?
The two of us work from the same ethos and method, and each of us bring our own personality, perspective, and strength to every moment. We want to capture the joy of a moment, and are always searching for a combination of energy, light, and framing through our viewfinders. It's an endless pursuit, but we're 200% committed to the cause.
How can we book and reserve a date with you?
Our booking process is simple and easy. We offer our couples one collection, and upload our booking contract for a couple to read and sign online, and once that is complete, we require a 50% deposit to confirm a booking. We're then your partners in crime and will work tirelessly to document your event like no one else.
How important are prints and albums to you?
It would be impossible to invite us into your tremendously important and beautiful day and not immortalise the captures with either gorgeous passe partout matted prints, or our hand-made Queensberry albums from New Zealand. We have fantastic options for you.
Why would we need both of you, can't I hire just one?
Unfortunately just like conjoined twins, the medical community still haven't figured out how to separate us. That being said, we never say never.
There's so much talk about 'documentary styles' lately. What does this mean to you, and how are you different?
We are documentary wedding photographers, meaning we captuing images without directing and posing people, until we need to step in and provide some direction. Our couples want to see images of themselves and their friends being themselves, naturally, in the moment, as they are. We have to work harder to catch those moments in the moment. At a wedding, we're not photographing a wedding, we're documenting a group of excellent people, all in one place at the same time and we're all about following the energy in a room.
Can we hang out?
Maybe, likely, probably, ok yes.
